Police arrest 40-year-old man for r3ping 14-year-old girl in Edo

The Edo State Police Command has arrested a 40-year-old man, Monday Obakpian, for r3ping a 14-year-old girl in Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of the state.   The spokesperson of the command, SP Moses Yamu, who disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, said the suspect lured the minor into his room under the guise of sending her on an errand and s3xually assaulted her.  "The Edo State Police Command has arrested one Monday Obakpian 40yrs of Odo quarters in Ibillo, Akoko Edo LGA for r3ping a 14yr old Goodness Felix. he suspect lured the innocent girl into his room under the guise of sending her on an errand," the statement read. "He took advantage of that situation and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her, it took the effort of a neighbor who called in the Police when he heard the victim screaming from the suspect's room. "The suspect has confessed to the crime and will soon be charged to court. "The Command, in the spirit of this years theme for the campaign against Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) Safety, everywhere and always' is calling on each one of us to contribute in preventing or stopping such violence, especially against women and girls. This also serves as a warning to the general public, particularly perpetrators of these heinous crimes, that the Command will do everything in its powers to protect the vulnerable and bring the criminals of such dastardly acts to book.    The post Police arrest 40-year-old man for r3ping 14-year-old girl in Edo appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
