The World Trade Organisation (WTO) has reappointed Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala as its director-general for a second term. In a post on X on Friday, WTO said the reappointment will take effect on September 1, 2025. The former Minister of Finance assumed office as the seventh Director-General of the World Trade Organization on March 1 2021. She made history as the first woman and the first African to lead the WTO. Congratulations to her!
