Manchester United and Eriksen to part ways by end of season

Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen is likely to exit the club at the conclusion of the current season, according to recent reports. The Danish international, who was part of Denmarks 2-1 loss to Spain in Fridays UEFA Nations League match, has not entered into negotiations for a contract renewal. Renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano disclosed on his X handle that discussions about extending Eriksens deal have not begun, adding that the opinion of Sporting CP manager Rben Amorim may influence the midfielder's next move. No negotiations taking place over a new deal, while Rben Amorims opinion will also be considered, but Eriksens expected to leave, Romano stated. Eriksen, 32, joined Manchester United in 2022 on a three-year contract as a free agent. With no signs of an extension on the horizon, it appears the seasoned midfielders tenure at Old Trafford will come to an end after two seasons. The departure will mark another significant chapter in Eriksens storied career, which has included stints at Tottenham Hotspur, Inter Milan, and Brentford, as well as his remarkable comeback to football following a cardiac arrest during the 2021 European Championship. The post Manchester United and Eriksen to part ways by end of season appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
