The 53-year-olds existing City deal was due to expire at the end of this season and his long-term future at Man City has been in doubt for a few months. Guardiola is now said to be ready to end doubt over his future by signing a new deal that will have the option of an additional year until 2026. The news, first reported by The Athletics Sam Lee, would be a major boost to City and a blow to their rivals.
