Give me the graphic novel and the adaptation NOW

A retiring assassin is hired to kill the man she just fell in love with and ends up taking on a criminal network. Yes, please and thank you! The graphic novel by David Crownson has yet to be released and the adaptation, Killer Bee, is already in the works and will star DeWanda Wise.
Everything about this is amazing

I’m just going to start by throwing some !!!! facts at you: Josephine Baker was not only a famous performer, she was also an activist and WWII spy who loved animals so much that she had a pet cheetah she used to walk around the city. Her memoir was written after she had a journalist follow her around for 20 years and piece together the moments he witnessed and the stories she told him. While the memoir was first published in the late 1940s in French, this is the first time (how?!) that it has been translated to English. Fearless and Free: A Memoir by Josephine Baker is out now!
Making all the popcorn
This had me at Helen Mirren, so everything after is just extra sprinkles: she’ll be playing Patricia Highsmith in the upcoming film Switzerland. The film is fictional and based on the same-titled play. If you want more fiction based on the real Patricia Highsmith, check out the graphic novel Flung Out of Space: Inspired by the Indecent Adventures of Patricia Highsmith by Grace Ellis.

Robert Langdon is back
Fans of The Da Vinci Code — and the book series/film adaptations — will have an exciting start to fall reading: The Secret of Secrets will release on September 9th. “Brown’s new novel begins with Langdon, the Harvard symbologist, in Prague. According to Doubleday, he plans to see a lecture by noetic scientist and emerging love interest Katherine Solomon, only to have her talk become a murder scene and for Solomon to disappear.”
Julia Roberts Returns To Thriller Adaptations

I am old enough to have watched all the ’90s thriller adaptations starring Julia Roberts, and I love her in both rom-coms and thrillers. On the heels of her starring in the adaptation of the apocalyptic Leave The World Behind (Netflix), she’s set to produce and star in an adaptation for the upcoming Kill Your Darlings by Peter Swanson. “The book, from HarperCollins, doesn’t come out until June, but Amazon and Stuber acted quickly to take the book off the Hollywood market. The story is a murder mystery told in reverse.”
